Desert Trails Preparatory Academy
Dear Parents & Guardians,
I want to thank you all for your patience and your understanding during this challenging time to our school community. The impact of COVID-19 is affecting every aspect of our life and forcing Desert Trails Preparatory Academy to implement creative ways to adapt to the current situation. Therefore, DTPA will be transitioning to Distance Learning beginning Monday, March 30th through the duration of the closure. Our staff has been working around the clock to acquire knowledge and setting systems in place to provide our scholars with lessons online. Our school website, www.dtpacademy.com, will provide information and support for scholars, teachers, and parents with curriculum and digital resources to support remote learning opportunities.
I am requesting for scholars to complete the lessons in the weekly lessons tab, in place of the learning they are missing. Also, scholars will need to complete assignments for their other two teachers Mrs. Vance and Mrs. Smith. We strive daily at DTPA, to close achievement gaps and foster academic success. These assignments correlate to common core state standards that have been taught to sixth-grade scholars throughout the school year. If you should have any questions on how to complete a portion of it, please reach out to me through Class Dojo or email.
The closure is scheduled for the remainder of the school year. During this time scholars will access the classroom website in order to see future lessons and assignments for the time of closure. Distance learning is designed to help scholars learn Common Core State Standards and enrich the learning that took place throughout the school year.
